Mixaction Software And Audio Pty Ltd, the developers of MixAction, are a Melbourne based software development company specializing in multimedia software. The primary developer and CEO is Scott Kane.
MixAction was developed because not only have we experienced the problems of using CD players in live audio, the inflexibility of standard “software media players” but that existing software solutions don’t offer a theater aware implementation or take into consideration the unique requirements of theater. In addition they tend to introduce a level of complexity, unecessarily, that makes, what should be, a simple execution, too complex.
Combining our knowledge of programming, live and studio audio, hands on theatrical experience and our extensive education experiences resulted in the design of a unique product aimed to address the needs of theater, school productions, plays, church events and community productions.
